Chairperson of the Youth Affairs Committee at the Shura Council, Sabeeka Khalifa Al-Fadhala, has asserted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has laid national foundations based on social harmony, openness and rapprochement among various cultures, religions and beliefs.

This stems from a civilised perspective, which has yielded positive results in terms of progress in social life, political participation, and the democratic work, she said, highlighting importance of continuing joint work and adhering to unity, fraternity, and coexistence, to bring about more achievements for the kingdom.

Al-Fadhala was speaking while attending, alongside the member of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at the Shura Council, member of the Arab Parliament, Ali Abdulla Al-Aradi, the inauguration ceremony of the “The Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration” in Egypt, held here yesterday under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the presence of ambassadors, officials and the and affiliates of the King Hamad Chair for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence.

She indicated that the Declaration proves HM the King’s sound vision and aspirations for building a nation based on solid foundations

She asserted that the Declaration, which is a document that expresses the thought and philosophy of HM King Hamad, includes a set of principles that form the pillars of coexistence as a method for peace in the world, and stem from historical foundations of coexistence in Bahrain and the sound religious approach.

Al-Fadhala added that the legislative branch attaches great importance to the inclusion of noble human principles and values that promote respect for human rights, adherence to the approach of constructive and meaningful dialogue, as well as rejection of all forms of extremism, sectarianism and hatred in legislation and laws.

She affirmed the support of the legislative branch to the noble royal initiatives, and the efforts made by the executive branch to spread peace and love, and establish security and stability.
