HM King receives Saudi Shura Council Speaker


Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, the Speaker of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia.

The Speaker of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia is visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain upon an official invitation from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives.

HM the King underscored the longstanding and historical Bahraini-Saudi relations and their development in all domains to achieve the interests of both countries.

The Saudi Speaker conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and their well wishes for Bahrain to achieve further progress and prosperity.

HM King Hamad requested the Speaker to convey his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister and his well wishes for Saudi Arabia for further development and prosperity.

HM the King expressed his appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his efforts in consolidating Bahraini-Saudi relations.

HM King Hamad underscored the important role of Bahraini Shura Council and the Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shura Council in further developing the longstanding ties between the two countries and supporting the development process in both countries.

HM the King said the signing of the memorandum of agreement between the Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shura Council will contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchange of expertise on the legislative and parliamentary levels in regional and international parliamentary domains.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Sheikh thanked HM the King for his support in consolidating the longstanding historical relations between the two countries.
