His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; HM the King’s Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns.

HM the King and the CIA Director reviewed bilateral relations and the advanced level of cooperation between the two countries.

HM the King praised longstanding historic relations and joint security action between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US, underpinned by joint coordination and cooperation towards serving mutual interests.

During the meeting, HM the King commended the pivotal role played by the US Administration to further support security and stability and reinforce regional and international peace.
