His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a Royal pardon to a number of prisoners convicted of different cases.

As many as 207 prisoners (citizens and foreigners) were pardoned, according to an official source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The Royal pardon coincides with the anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan’s Accession Day, in consideration of families of the prisoners.
