Muscat, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik today received greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr from Lt.Gen Said Ali Al-Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service, reading as follows:

Your Majesty,

As our dear country and Islamic states celebrate the happy Eid al-Fitr, I am honoured to greet Your Majesty and convey the greetings of personnel of the Security Service, praying to the Almighty Allah to have this auspicious occasion return for years to come and find Your Majesty in full wellbeing.

Your Majesty,

The great message that Oman portrayed over the ages has been the message of peace and harmony. The Almighty Allah endowed this dear homeland in this happy reign with the ability to move forward in full confidence in the path of prosperity and to establish pillars of amity and fraternity. So, Oman has held high the torch of reconciliation that illuminated the roads of mercy and collaboration. Oman has thus become—thanks to the Almighty Allah and to Your Majesty’s prudence—an oasis of peace sought after by parties of dialogue and envoys of peace missions.

Your Majesty,

The course of action charted out by Your Majesty promise of a bright future and strong state. Thanks to the Almighty Allah who has chosen you to lead this prosperous parade and renew the blessed Omani renaissance.

Your Majesty,

We in the Internal Security Service, officers and soldiers, would like to reiterate our allegiance to Your Majesty, vowing to honour the mission of security entrusted to us and to safeguard the country’s gains. We wish Oman further progress and prosperity under Your Majesty’s wise leadership.
