HM The Sultan Sends Written Message to President of Tanzania

Zanzibar, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a written message to President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania, dealing with the bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples.

The message was handed over by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister when he was received by the President of Tanzania at the Presidential Palace in Zanzibar today.

Sayyid Badr conveyed greetings of His Majesty the Sultan to President Suluhu, along with His Majesty’s best wishes of permanent health and happiness to her. His Majesty also wished the people of Tanzania continuous progress and prosperity.

On her turn, President Suluhu asked Sayyid Badr to convey her greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.

The two sides underlined the advanced relations between the two countries and expressed their keenness on the continuation of cooperation in various spheres which serve the peoples of the two countries. They also discussed regional and international developments of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Liberata Mulamula, Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr and several Tanzanian officials.
