The projects, implemented under the supervision of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, are among a series of projects designed to ensure prosperity for UAE citizens at all levels.
Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, said that the carrying out of hospital construction projects is in accordance with the President’s vision of providing the country with modern, fully-equipped health care facilities that will raise the UAE’s health care sector to a high international standard.
The new hospital is in the Al Falah area, close to downtown Sharjah and the emirates of Ajman and Umm al-Qaiwain and also easily accessible from the UAE’s East Coast. It is located close to the campus of the University of Sharjah, to provide students from the university’s medical college, as well as from other nearby universities, with the opportunity for hands-on practical training.
