Hotel Revenues Exceed RO 49 Million by February 2023

The revenues of 3-5 star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a rise by 68% to reach RO 49.427 million by the end of February 2023 compared to the corresponding period in 2022 when it stood at RO 29.429 million, according to the latest data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The number of 3-5 star hotels’ guests stood at 357,810, comprising an increase by 37.4% till the end of February 2023 compared to 260,450 guests during the same period in 2022.

Occupancy rate also recorded a surge by 37.2% to reach 61.5% compared to 44.8% during the corresponding period in 2022.

The number of guests from Oceania recorded a significant surge by 320.8% from 2,069 guests by the end of February 2022 to 8,706 guests by the end of February 2023. Asian guests followed by recording a rise of 70.4% going from 24,458 guests by the end of February 2022 to 41,674 guests by the end of February 2023.

GCC guests stood at 22,365 by the end of February 2023, going up by 62% compared to the same period in 2022. The number of other Arab guests increased by 54.4% from 9,122 by the end of February 2022 to 14,084 by the end of February 2023.
