Muscat, The Industrial Innovation Center (IIC) held two workshops on the importance of utilizing Oman’s natural mineral resources.

The workshops that shed light on four natural minerals (silica, limestone, copper and chromium) aim to propose solutions for the sustainable use of these minerals, identify investment challenges, and increase their contribution to the Sultanate’s GDP.

The move comes within the framework of the IIC efforts to develop the industrial sector and maximize the Sultanate’s income from natural mining resources.

The two workshops reviewed the initial investment opportunities in the mining sector and their importance in increasing the added value of these resources.

They also shed light on the IIC efforts to develop mining products, urging institutions to invest in them, and supporting SMEs for self-employment opportunities.
