Four “militants” were gunned down in the border district of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir while thwarting an infiltration bid, Indian police said on Friday.
“In a joint operation, Army and Police have killed four terrorists in Kala Jungle of Machhal sector in Kupwara who were trying to infiltrate to our side from Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” Kashmir Zone Police said in its official Twitter account. Last week, Indian forces killed five “militants” in a joint operation near the Line of Control in Kupwara. New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding armed groups in Kashmir, claims that Islamabad denies.
