Interior Minister Heads to Algeria

Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al- Busaidi, Minister of Interior and his accompanying delegation left the country today heading to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to lead the Sultanate’s delegation in the 35th meeting of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, due to be held on March 7th and 8th.

The meeting will discuss the security strategy and security cooperation trend among the member states, besides discussing the listed topics on the agenda.

Sayyid al- Busaidi is accompanied by a delegating comprising Maj.Gen Hamad bin Sulaiman al- Hatmi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations and some officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The minister and his accompanying delegation were seen off by Sheikh Said bin Mohammed al- Braiki, Advisor at the Ministry of Interior, Muhanad Saleh Lajouzi, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Sultanate and a number of officials from the Ministry of Interior and the ROP.
