Iran and Algeria agreed on Saturday to cancel political visas between them thus paving the way for broader mutual cooperation.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahyan said at a news conference, attended by his Algerian peer Ahmed Attaf, affirmed that he agreed with the Algerian side during the talks on cancelling the political visas “as a preliminary step to be followed with cancelling the regular visas.” He added that the two sides also agreed on “speeding up cooperation” in sciences, technology, agriculture and medicine.
