Israeli forces release 15 Palestinian detainees from Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation authorities today released 15 detainees from the Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that the detainees released from Ofer prison, west of Ramallah, were detained during the ongoing occupation aggression since October 7.

They pointed out that first aid was provided to the released detainees in front of the Kissufim military checkpoint east of Deir al-Balah, where they were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Last Thursday, the occupation released seven detainees, including two women from the Gaza Strip, who revealed the extent of torture, abuse and violations they were subjected to during their detention.

On the 29th of last month, Israeli media reported that nine occupation soldiers were detained on charges of torturing and sexually assaulting Palestinian detainees in the Sde Teiman prison, where detainees from the Gaza Strip have been held since the beginning of the aggression.

The Authority’s lawyer, Khaled Muhajna, recently revealed horrific testimonies about detainees from the
Gaza Strip, during his visit to Ofer prison, and indicated that some of the detainees were subjected to sexual assaults after being stripped of their clothes and beaten in sensitive areas.

He added that police dogs attack the detainees while their hands are tied behind their heads.

He pointed out that there are more than 100 sick and wounded detainees without treatment, in light of severe overcrowding in the prison rooms.

He affirmed that the detainees eat while their hands are tied, and each detainee has one meal throughout the day, which consists of 100 grams of bread, a cucumber or a tomato, and a very small amount of yogurt.

He pointed out that the bathroom is exposed inside the prison rooms, in addition to the presence of surveillance cameras inside the rooms directed at the bathrooms, while the shower time is still limited to one minute only.
