Jordan hosts Gaza urgent humanitarian response conf. Tues.

The Kingdom of Jordan is expected to hold a high-level urgent international humanitarian response conference for the Gaza Strip on Tuesday co-organized by Jordan, Egypt, and the UN.

The conference, held in the Dead Sea’s King Al-Hussein bin Talal Center, will feature the participation of prominent leaders Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, and UN Secretary General Antinio Guterres.

The conference aims at boosting international humanitarian response to the catastrophic situation in Gaza.

Jordan had been coordinating with regional and international partners to organize the conference.

The event would include three working groups focusing on discussions to find means delivering much-needed aid and also searching for ways to rebuild the Gaza Strip as rapidly as possible post war.

The aggression on the Gaza Strip had caused an unfathomable humanitarian situation for 2.3 million Gazans, leading to famine, destruction, lack of necessities and medicine, as well as tremendous psych
ological suffering.
