Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma’awda Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments held a meeting with Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB)’s Chairman Adnan Ahmed Yousif.
The meeting discussed topics regarding the field of judicial development that support the growth of the financial services sector and the enhancement of the Kingdom’s position as an advanced financial center regionally and internationally
.
The minister affirmed the support to use financial mediation in resolving financial and banking disputes, as an efficient and economic mean, given its advantages such as speed, flexibility, and inclusivity in finding consensual solutions to achieve justice.
Al Ma’awda referred to the efforts to develop legal services to be more responsive to the requirements of economic sectors, to develop legal specialization in the field of settling banking and financial disputes, finance and insurance, and to benefit from modern technology in developing legal work in all its fields.
BAB Chairman praised the ministry’s support for the banking sector by facilitating litigation procedures and systems to resolve issues related to financial and banking transactions.
