Muscat, The Ministry of Labour today signed a cooperation programme (contract) with Vodafone to train jobseekers and engage different sectors.

The programme seeks to draft plans and strategies to prepare jobseekers to join the labour market, notably in the ICT sector, in accordance with vacancies available at Vodafone.

A joint committee will be formed to follow up the project and the method of selection of trainees in line with a sound assessment mechanism.

The training programme lasts one year from the date of signing and it pertains to on-the-job training of 140 jobseekers.

The cooperation programme was signed by Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Human Resources Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, and Badr Saud Al Zaidi, CEO of Vodafone.
