Muscat, The Ministry of Labour today signed a cooperation programme with Retail Academy to train jobseekers and qualify them to occupy key jobs in the retail sector.

The programme was signed by Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidy, Labour Ministry’s Undersecretary for Human Resources, and Maimouna Sulaiman Al Shaybani, General Manager of Retail Academy.

The programme provides that the two sides shall draft and implement strategies and plans capable of enabling jobseekers to work in the retail sector.

The year-long programme also enables the Labour Ministry to fund on-the-job training programmes and blended training programmes. The Ministry will follow up the progress of training and ensure that the trainees get employment programmes immediately.
