Muscat, The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn has launched “For Your Safety” awareness campaign to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in its industrial cities, Knowledge Oasis Muscat and Al Mazunah Free Zone.

The campaign targets the workforce in the industrial units based in the industrial cities, specifically those operating in food and water sectors; the commercial activities related to public health in the industrial cities; and the administrative buildings of the companies based in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat.

The campaign aims at disseminating awareness on the importance of receiving vaccination to reduce infection in the work environment, spreading extensive awareness on the precautionary measures to achieve a safe and healthy workplace, and training the workforce in the industrial units to develop preventive plans and practices against coronavirus disease.

The campaign also highlights the significance of correcting the wrong practices of the workforce with the objective of reaching zero violations while continuing to conduct PCR tests.

Through a series of field visits to the various industrial cities of Madayn and the Knowledge Oasis Muscat, Madayn’s officials of health, safety, security and environment will provide the industrial units with the preventive measures and awareness guidelines to reduce and limit the spread of infection with coronavirus at the work environment.

Over the past years, Madayn has qualified a group of its employees on the basics of inspection and occupational safety in the industrial cities in various fields such as food safety, investor services, field work procedures, and health, safety and environment.
