Both sides discussed the current situation of media in Lebanon.

Bishop Bou Najem urged the media to be impartial, to play an awareness role and to stay away from hate speech.

For his part, Caretaker Minister Makary presented the MoI’s projects in terms of updating media laws, raising awareness against fake news, in addition to the archiving project in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Information.

Projects and initiatives will be launched in partnership with the Ministry of Information, as Minister Makary expressed the Ministry’s full readiness to support the Diocese of Antelias in its educational, national and societal initiatives.
