Minister of Foreign Affairs signs agreements and MoUs between Bahrain and Oman

Manama, The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, signed in Al-Sakhir Palace today, a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, as part of the official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Minister of Foreign of Affairs and his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, signed an agreement to grant Oman sovereignty over the data of its US beneficiaries on Bahrain-based cloud data centers, which aims to develop, improve, and sustain the quality of e-services provided to beneficiaries and attract foreign investments.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain represented by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Ministry of Interior in the field of municipal work.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also signed an executive program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman for the years 2023-2024. The program aims to develop a legal framework for bilateral relations in coordination with the concerned authorities in both countries, by preparing draft agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields of interest.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs signed an executive program for the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of agricultural, livestock and fishery between the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain represented by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and the government of the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Ministry of Agricultural and Fisheries and Water Resources for the years 2023-2024.
