A two-missile attack targeted the fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad, which houses the US embassy, according to the Iraqi security forces in a statement, explaining that one of the missiles was shot down.
A statement by the official security media cell stated, “The Green Zone in Baghdad was bombed by two Katyusha rockets, where the first was detonated in the air by the Seram defense system, and the second fell near the celebrations square, adding that the attack caused damage to two cars.”
