MOH Continues National Immunization Campaign for 45 Year-Old and Above

Muscat, The Ministry of Health is continuing to vaccinate people aged 45 year-old and above against Covid-19 in all governorates of the Sultanate as part of the National Immunization Campaign against Covid 19.

Today, vaccination centers in all governorates of the Sultanate witnessed excellent turnout from the campaign’s targets, which reflects the great societal awareness of immunization against Covid 19.

In the Governorate of Muscat, the vaccination campaign continues at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Al Sahil Health Center in the Wilayat of Quriyat.

Dr. Ambareen al Balushi, a senior medical specialist and the field manager of the Immunization Center at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, said in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the center witnessed high turnout from the targeted categories, noting that around 2-3 thousand people are vaccinated a day.

A number of vaccinated people commended the smoothness of the procedures at the immunization center. They further praised the efforts exerted by the government for the health and safety of citizens and residents in the Sultanate.

The Ministry of Health seeks to vaccinate all targeted categories aged 12 years and above (70% of the population), and this will be implemented in phases according to the vaccine supplies as per the Ministry’s National Strategy for Immunization against Coronavirus (Covid-19).
