Following the earthquake that struck central Al Haouz province, the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces (FAR) urgently deployed late on Friday significant human and logistical air and land resources, as well as specialised search and rescue teams and a field hospital.
The necessary arrangements have been made at the level of the FAR General Staff and all FAR headquarters throughout the Kingdom, in terms of liaison and coordination with local authorities, Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) quoted FAR General Staff as saying in a press release.
Intervention detachments, planes, helicopters, drones and engineering resources as well as logistics centres are deployed to provide the necessary support to the various departments concerned and to the affected populations, the same source added.
