Municipality of Abu Dhabi City starts handing over communal houses in Al-Falah to citizens

Abu Dhabi: In implementation of the Decree pertinent to the grant made by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Emiratis, and in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City today started handing over of communal houses at Al-Falah to citizens as part of Al-Falah City Residential Project.

The project features the construction of as many as 4857 villas of different sizes and designs in an area spanning 12.5 million square meters in total.

The first two phases of the Project, which is intended to serve the needs of different entitled community segments, encompass the construction of 2000 communal houses along with their utilities ‘&’ services in addition to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque with a capacity to accommodate 2000 prayers.

The Municipality has assigned more than 23 counters to serve the relevant entitled citizens, and the working hours of the Customer Service Division extended from 07:00 am to 08:00 pm, which enabled them to accomplish more than 50% of the job.

Owaidah Al Qubaisi, Acting Executive Director of Municipal Services Sector at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, said: “In response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; ordered the immediate start of delivering communal houses covered under Phase I of Al Falah City Residential Project in Abu Dhabi to beneficiaries whose names have been endorsed in the initial batch of rolls prepared by Lands ‘&’ Houses Distribution Committee.

“This grant illustrates the keen attention of our prudent leadership to ensure a decent and stable life of Emirati families who always remain the core of attention and care of our wise leadership. In this context, the grant of HH the President of the UAE to citizens is a continuation of the culture of giving generously advocated by HH to Emiratis, reflects a consolidation of the path charted by the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, and epitomizes the attention of the prudent leadership to reinforce the pillars of stability and secure a decent life to citizens,” noted Al Qubaisi.

He said that the Municipality had already finished all procedures and required preparations to receive the citizens immediately after the issuance of the Decree in order to enable them to submit their official documents through the Municipality’s Head Office at Al Salam Street where the necessary formalities are fulfilled and the keys are handed over to the entitled citizens in the same day.

“Entitled recipients of the grant are required to accompany with them the required documentation; which includes: copy of the passport, copy of the Family Book, and copy of the ID card. In case the Decree is related to a divorcee, widow or her sons, she is also required to submit a Declaration of Sonship (Filiation),” added Ahmed Omran Al Qubaisi, Acting Director of Lands ‘&’ Real Estate, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.

“The Division will be fully ready to receive Emiratis to complete the handing over procedures in a smooth, simple and quick process that meets the needs of our valued customers,” said the Acting Director of Lands ‘&’ Properties in a final remark,” noted Al Murar, Director of Customer Service.

“The Customer service Division has put in place the mobile vehicle service in order to deliver the communal houses handing over service to the people with special needs at their own domiciles as part of the Municipality’s keenness to offer the best standards of service and working towards expediting the handing over of houses. The Municipality’s mobile service has already accessed the entitled recipients of the grant and communicated with them in order to complete the handing-over procedures of the said houses,” he concluded.
