Oman National Transport Company (Mwasalat) announced the launching of the Muscat-Barka route starting on Friday, in response to the public’s desire to operate direct and back-to-back routes from the Governorate of Muscat to various wilayats, especially during official working hours.
This route will enable people living in Barka to go to the Governorate of Muscat daily by two morning journeys starting at 5:40 am and 6:10 am.
The company will conduct daily journeys on the new route (back and forth) at different times, taking into account the ability of employees to go to the Governorate of Muscat and return to the wilaya on the route, especially the Wilayat of Barka after the end of working hours.
On the other hand, Mwasalat has recently signed an agreement with Millennium Resort, which extends this route to the resort through three daily journeys. The company aims to enhance the tourism activity in the Governorate of South Al Batinah, allowing tourists and residents of the Governorate of Muscat to enjoy safe week-round to and from the resort.
Mwasalat confirms that it is moving forward to operate another “back and forth” direct routes from the Governorate of Muscat and a number of the wilayats during the coming period, especially when the new fleet of buses is completed.
