Bahrain’s National Anti-smoking Committee has today conveed for its 4th meeting for 2021.

Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh deputised Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Dr. Mariam Al Hajeri to chair the session whoch was held remotely via videoconference.

Dr. Al Hajeri congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the national days and the new year.

She also extended greetings and good wishes to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

The virtual session approved minutes of the previous meeting and the implementation of the committee’s resolutions and recommendations.

Anti-smoking Unit Chief Dr. Ejlal updated the committee about Edict 121 of 2021 on the issuance of the technical byl relevant to electronic nicotine products “Analogs of electronic tobacco products”.
