The National Council for Arts today held its regular meeting, under the chairmanship of Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
The Council discussed a proposal to hold an art exhibition in the US Capital, Washington, in cooperation with the Bahrain Embassy to US and the Washington-based Middle East Institute.
It also discussed other proposals on launching the identity of the National Council for Arts, establishing a website and holding an artistic programme.
Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa, the Council Chairman, commended the constant support accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the National Council for Arts
He stressed the Council’s keenness to devote its efforts to supporting Bahraini artists and laying down solid foundations for boosting various arts in the kingdom.
