Muscat, The National Defence College (NDC) today celebrated the opening of the 9th course, the first in the 9th Academic Year. The ceremony was presided over by Air Vice Marshal Saleh Yahya al-Maskari, NDC Commandant.

Air Vice Marshal al-Maskari said that the National Defence College keeps upgrading its programmes in tandem with the rapid regional and international developments and their implications to the national scenario. “We bear in mind that this updating of programmes responds to the goals and priorities of Oman Vision 2040,” he added.

A visual presentation about the college and its role in grooming strategic leaders was screened. The display featured various aspects of the course, including the types of theoretical and applied studies and related visits.

The ‘strategic leadership’ programme enables the participants (civilians and officers from military and security departments) to undertake key posts.
