NCSI Conducts Consumer Confidence Survey for 2021 4Q

Muscat, The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) began conducting the 32nd cycle of the Consumer Confidence Survey for the fourth quarter of 2021.

The survey, which runs till 24 November, aims to identify future expectations of the Omani economy, the economic situation of families and their purchasing power.

The Consumer Confidence Survey is considered an important indicator of expenditure, specifying the volume and direction of markets and their popularity and identifying the effects of the measures taken due to the Covid-19 pandemic on economic and social indicators. It also provides a future vision for the trends of economic growth.

The survey includes 1,500 samples, covering Omani nationals aged 18 or above, distributed across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The samples take into account the representation of males and females. Data collection will be done over mobile phones.
