KUWAIT, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim Taha strongly denounced the airstrike launched by the Israeli occupation forces on (the Baptist) Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza City on Tuesday evening.

“The horrific barbaric carnage left hundreds of martyrs and scores of injured among the Palestinians, including women and children,” he said in a press release.

“This is a war crime and an act of organized state terrorism that deserves accountability and punishment,” the Secretary-General stressed. The Israeli occupation authorities bear the responsibility for the consequences of the brutal crimes and terrorist acts they commit against the Palestinian people in a flagrant violation of all humanitarian values and international laws, he pointed out.

The OIC chief reiterated the call for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to step in immediately and end the war crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation against the residents of Gaza Strip and provide protection for the Palestinian people. (end) kns.gb
