Muscat, The second round of political talks between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cyprus was held at the general diwan of the Foreign Ministry here today.

The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, while Kornelios Korneliou, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Cyprus chaired his country’s side.

The session reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries as the two sides stressed their keenness to continue promoting them in deferent fields. The two sides also exchanged views on various international and regional issues of common interest.

The session was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed Salim Al Shanfari, Ambassador of Oman to Cyprus, Andreas Nikolaides, Ambassador of Cyprus to Oman and some officials from both sides.
