Muscat, The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Audit Institution (SAI), is hosting a regional workshop in the field of strategic management.

The five-day event sees the participation of 30 delegates from GCC states, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, Iraq, Syria and Libya.

The workshop lays emphasis on the aspect of ‘execution and reporting’ and the initiative of measuring performance. It seeks to enhance the capabilities of participating institutions, notably through a review of operating plans, decision making and reporting of performance. In particular, it familiarizes the participants about ways of controlling risks and managing change.

The opening of the workshop was held under the auspices of Ahmed Salim Al Rujaibi, Deputy Chairman of the SAI.

The workshop is organized in cooperation with theInternational Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions(INTOSAI) and the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI).

The workshop is a link in a series of programmes lasting till 2024.
