Muscat, The role of national mechanisms in promoting and protecting human rights figured high in the agenda of Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) and constitutes the topic of a symposium to be organized in June 2022.

Through the symposium, OHRC will explore the best practices of activating national and international cooperation to promote human rights. This includes a review of success stories in the field.

This was unveiled during OHRC’s first meeting of the 4th annual sitting (Fourth Term), held under the auspices of Sheikh Abdullah Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of OHRC.

The meeting discussed a workshop scheduled to be organized by the OHRC about three human rights agreements that Oman joined recently.
