Muscat: The 12th session of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India was held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the general office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Omani side was chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Indian side was chaired by His Excellency Awsaf Saeed, Undersecretary of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, Passports, Visas and Indian Affairs Abroad.

During the session, the two sides stressed the strength of the existing relations between the two friendly countries and the importance of strengthening them in all fields, including exploring opportunities for trade and investment cooperation and discussing consular issues, as well as the participation of the Sultanate of Oman as a guest of honour in the work of the G20 meetings chaired by the Republic of India this year.
