Muscat, The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion participated today in the preparatory meeting of the GCC Commerce Undersecretaries for the 60th session of the GCC Trade Cooperation Committee.

The Sultanate was represented in the virtual meeting by Dr. Saleh Said Masan, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry.

The meeting discussed topics related to the commerce sector, and the executive regulations for the GCC Patents Law. It also reviewed the challenges facing GCC states in activating the gulf joint action.

The meeting also viewed recent updates on implementing the unified GCC standards, systems, and regulations. In addition, initiatives of entrepreneurs, and means of supporting small and medium enterprises were reviewed during the meeting.
