The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, took part in the 9th meeting of GCC ministers of housing, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting, held via video-conferencing, saw the participation of Dr. Khalfan Said Al Shu’aili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.

The meeting reviewed implications of the Covid-19 pandemic, efforts of housing ministries and their future plans in facing the crisis. It also discussed the joint GCC housing action strategy, and followed up the implementation of initiatives and projects.

The meeting also underscored the importance of following up what was achieved on housing databases and enlisting them on GCC Statistical Centre’s website. The meeting also discussed other topics of concern to the GCC housing sphere
