Muscat, The Sultanate of Oman today took part in the ministerial meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA).

Oman was represented in the meeting by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs.

The meeting discussed outcomes of evaluating results of the IORA Action Plan (2022-2027). It also reviewed recommendations related to the next action plan and the latest developments on memoranda of understanding to be signed by IORA.

The meeting approved strategic management to ensure maximum benefit for the IORA member states.

The meeting saw the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
