Oman Participates in Meeting of GCC Executive Committee for Cybersecurity
Muscat, 5 Mar (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, today participated via video conferencing in the first meeting of the GCC Executive Committee for Cybersecurity.
The Omani delegation was represented at the meeting by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shithani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology.
During the meeting, the structure, tasks and terms of reference of the Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity were discussed. The meeting also discussed updating the guiding strategy for safety and cybersecurity.
The meeting also reviewed the guiding framework for the privacy of personal data in the GCC countries. It also discussed a set of GCC initiatives related to the cybersecurity industry.
