London, The Sultanate of Oman took part in the ministerial meeting held here today between the GCC states and the United Kingdom (UK).

Oman’s delegation was headed by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.

The meeting discussed topics pertaining to enhancing and following up the action plan agreed by the GCC states and the UK particularly those topics related to pressing ahead with entering into a free trade agreement between the two sides.

In order to bolster the Gulf-British relations, the ministers explored a range of projects aimed at boosting the partnership between the states parties in all spheres and promoting common interests and benefits that would lead to further prosperity.

The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues and developments of common interest. They also reviewed the ongoing endeavours to solve crises through dialogue and peaceful, political means to achieve security and stability.
