Oman Workers Federation Conference Reviews Labour Syndicates Practices

The General Federation of Oman Workers today held its 4th conference at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).

During the conference, the chairman and members of the federation’s board of directors will be elected for the term 2023-2027 via an e-election system. The results of the election will be announced later today.

The conference’s opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs. It was also attended by ministers, undersecretaries, representatives of the Arab Labour Organization (ALO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). It was also attended by representatives of some Arab, regional and international workers syndicates.

The conference was participated by 291 members of various syndicates.

The conference also included speeches delivered by the Three Parties to Production: The General Federation of Oman Workers, the Ministry of Labour and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). In addition, a speech was delivered by ALO and ILO.
