Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) has organized a ceremony at Crowne Plaza Hotel to honor winners of OPAL Best Professional Practices Award. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng. Salim bin Nasser al- Oufi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas in the presence of a large number of executives of OPAL members.
PDO captured the award in Human Resources Development and Health, Safety and Environment categories. Daleel Oil Company captured the award in Technological and Operational Excellence category. Shell Oman captured the award in SMEs categories.
The oil companies competed at the four categories of the ward namely HRD, operational and technological excellence, HSE and SMEs development. OPAL member companies that have participated have been shortlisted.
Musallam bin Rashid al- Mantheri, CEO of OPAL hailed the efforts made by the companies in the competition and its leading role to achieve the best professional practices.
On the sidelines of the event an exhibition has been organized for the 20 companies that qualified for the semifinals.
