OSHRM Annual Conference Opens

Muscat, The fourth edition of the annual conference of Oman Society for Human Resource Management (OSHRM) was opened at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) today under the theme “Tomorrow is Now Are You Ready?”. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Taimour bin Asa’ad al-Said, Assistant Secretary General for Communications at the Research Council.

Dr. Ghalib bin Saif al-Hosni, OSHRM President said that the conference provides a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and raising important issues that have great effect on the performance of individuals and institutions and on creating a working environment that improves production.

As more as 41 speakers from inside and outside the Sultanate will cover a range of themes on human resources and other relevant areas during the two-day conference.

The conference aims at assisting institutions in the Sultanate to move towards wider horizons in the field of human resources management, which require keeping pace with the constant changes in human resources management strategies. It will also provide participants with practical tools on adopting new practices in the field of human resources management.

The conference will cast light on several issues and will revise the current levels for human resources management. It will also focus on the challenges facing this field with relation to human capital, to what extent the human resources practices are developed and the ability to keep pace with the changes in technology and world economy trends.
