Muscat, The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in cooperation with Occidental Oman, will organize Oxy Mountain Run in Wadi Bani Awf in the Wilayat of A’Rustaq.

The run includes 3 races, the first is a 50-km mountain running race for men, the second is a 10-km race for both males and females, and the third is a fun race, which includes 3 races: the first is a 2-km race in front o

The 2 fun races will take place in A’Rustaq Sports Complex, which will host the conclusion ceremony and the honoring of the winners. The Ministry allocated financial prizes worth more than 2500 Omani riyals.

The Ministry aims to organize such races in each governorate of the Sultanate of Oman to utilize the geographical diversity of each governorate for those wishing to participate. The Sultanate of Oman is among the best countries in the world in terms of environmental and terrain diversity.

The race will start in front of Wadi Bani Awf School in the Wilayat of A’Rustaq towards the dirt road of Wadi Bani Awf. The participants will go through a mountain track and then return to the starting point to complete the 50-km race.
