Pakistani NDU Delegation Visits State Council

Muscat— A delegation from the National Defense University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan visited the State Council today as part of its current visit to the Sultanate.

The delegation was received by Eng. Majid bin Said al-Rawahi, Said bin Ali al-Kalbani and Nasser bin Rashid al-Bahri, members of the Council.

Eng. Majid al-Rawahi affirmed the deep relations binding the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He also highlighted the importance of mutual visits to strengthen these relations and promot the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries in all spheres.

He gave an overview on the Shura march in the Sultanate, pointing out to the royal interest of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to develop the institutional practice of the Shura through systematic and thoughtful progress. He pointed out that the State Council contributes to the national work through carrying out its tasks and exercising its powers and prerogatives.

Maj.Gen Mohammad Asim Malik, Head of the delegation of the National Defense University (NDU) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, expressed his happiness and that of his accompanying delegation to visit the Sultanate. He praised the comprehensive development and progress in all fields in the Sultanate. He wished the Sultanate further progress and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.

Members of the delegation viewed a documentary about the Council. They also toured the Council’s building to learn about its various facilities.
