Palestine celebrates the 79th anniversary of the great victory


Bethlehem – together – in the cities of Ramallah and Bethlehem, and with the efforts of the Russian House in Bethlehem and the Russian Citizens’ Association in Hebron and Nablus, Bethlehem and the Palestinian Russian Association (Ramallah) and the Coordinating Council of Russian Citizens’ Associations in Palestine and with the support of the Russian Representative Office to the Palestinian National Authority The Imperial Orthodox Society of Palestine and the Association of Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities celebrated the ’79th Anniversary of the Great Victory.’

Activities were organized on the occasion of Victory over Nazism Day, which included the distribution of a St. George ribbon, exhibitions of photographs of the events of the war, and pictures of veterans who participated in the Great Patriotic War, who are fathers and grandfathers of citizens of Russian and Soviet origins who live in different cities in Palestine.

The program of events also included screenings of documentaries about the war,
a field kitchen, and performances by creative teams from the Russian House in Bethlehem and associations of Russian citizens, who presented the guests with performances and songs from the war years.

More than 700 people participated in the activities in its places of residence, including families of Russian citizens and Palestinian citizens who love Russia and are interested in its culture and history.
