Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomes appointment of Saudi Ambassador

Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the decision of the Saudi Monarch King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud to name Naif Al-Sudairi non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Palestine and Consul General in Jerusalem.

The Ministry, in a statement issued on Sunday, deemed the timing of the decision a reflection of Saudi Arabia’s interest in the Palestinian case and described it as an extension of the Kingdom’s long standing supportive position.

The Foreign Ministry further affirmed its readiness to cooperate with Ambassador Al-Sudairi to ease his tasks and allow him to preform duties and boost bilateral relations.

Dr. Majdy Al-Khaledi, advisor of Palestinian president for diplomatic affairs, welcomed Ambassador Naif to a function for this purpose at Palestine Embassy in Amman on Saturday, according to a statement by the Saudi Embassy.
