President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met former Minister, Tareq Al-Khatib, today at Baabda Palace.

Development demands of Iqlim Kharoub region, and electricity of the villages from Bisri line were discussed in the meeting.

Dr. Khoury:

The President received Dr. Petra Khoury, on the occasion of her assuming the position of Global Director of Social and Health Care at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is based in Geneva.

President Aoun wished Dr. Khoury success in her new tasks, especially that she was chosen among 600 candidates from several countries, and it is the first time that a Middle Eastern candidate assumes this position.

The Federation includes 192 representatives from different countries.
