President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, contacted this evening Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, offering him condolences for the victims of the fire that targeted “Abu Sefein Church” in Egypt’s Giza Governorate, and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

The Egyptian President thanked President Aoun for his condolences and briefed him on the circumstances of the fire.

Aoun also made a similar call to Pope Tawadros II, offering condolences over the fallen victims of the fire.

Pope Tawadros, in turn, thanked President Aoun for the affection he showed towards the members of the Copt Sect in wake of the tragic incident.
