Muscat, Military units from the Royal Army of Oman (RAO)’s 23rdInfantry Brigade and the French Army conducted a practical demonstration of a joint military drill codenamed “Mountain Warrior 2022”.

The event was held under the auspices of Major General Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the RAO, and attended by Rear Admiral Emmanuel Slaars, Commander of the French Forces in the Indian Ocean and the military delegation accompanying him.

The drill was conducted as part of a training plan undertaken by the RAO to maintain a high level of performance, training efficiency and combat fitness. It comprises a link in a series of RAO’s programmes carried out in cooperation with armies of Arab and friendly countries to invigorate the preparedness of its personnel.
