Real Estate Deals in Oman Up By 0.5% in June 2024


The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman rose by 0.5% to RO 1,409.6 million till the end of June 2024, compared to RO 1,402.5 million in the same period of 2023, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

According to Preliminary statistics issued by the NCSI, fees collected for legal transactions amounted to RO 32.3 million till the end of June 2024, comprising a decline by 3.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.

The value of sale contracts reached RO 545.6 million till the end of June 2024, and the number of sale contracts decreased by 0.9% to 32,596 compared to 32,907 in the same period of 2023.

The traded value of mortgage contracts rose by 0.5% till the end of June 2024 to RO 856.7 million compared to RO 852.1 million during the same period of 2023. Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts decreased by 16.9% to 10,028 from 12,062 in the same period of 2023.

The value of barter contracts rose by 52% to RO 7.3
million till the end of June 2024 compared to RO 4.8 million in the same period of 2023. The number of barter contracts decreased by 8.3% to reach 671 till the end of June 2024 compared to 732 in June 2023.

The number of title deeds issued by the end of June 2024 decreased by 7% to 109,666 whereas the number of title deeds issued for the GCC citizens rose by 5.2% to 666 compared to 633 till the end of June 2023.
